Early Life
BorMichael Irvin was born March 5th, 1966, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Micand grew up in a large Christian family with 16 siblings. He displayed exceptional talent as a football player during high school, which led to his recruitment by the University of Miami. There, under the guidance of coach Jimmy Johnson, Irvin set numerous records for the school, including most career receptions, most receiving yards, and most touchdown receptions.
NFL Career
In 1988, the Dallas Cowboys selected Michael Irvin as the 11th pick in the First round of the NFL draft. He signed a contract with a $750,000 signing bonus and a 4-year, $1.875 million deal. He later re-signed with the Cowboys in 1992 for a 3-year, $3.75 million contract, and in 1995, he inked a 5-year, $12.3 million deal, making him one of the highest-paid Players in the NFL at the time.
Irvin quickly named himself Playmaker” in the NFL, known for making crucial plays in important games. During his time with the Cowboys, he helped secure three Super Bowl victories and earned induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2007.
